Single-Ply Membrane Options

There are different single-ply membrane roofing systems. Each offers a different set of benefits to your building and your business. The Glick Roofing Systems team is happy to talk to you about which one is right for you.

Fluid Applied EPDM. Our fluid applied EPDM is an FM4470 approved membrane with testing that puts it in a class of its own. This system provides a Class A fire rating, extreme hail resistance, 2124% elongation, and a wind uplift of Class 1-990. It is also a proven vapor and air barrier, making it tough to beat even with extreme weather.

Since the fluid applied EPDM is lightweight with superior adhesion to most roofing substrates, there is no need to remove and replace existing roofs during installation, causing significant savings on both installation and environmental impact.

We often recommend it for Mod-Bit, TPO, and EPDM flat roof restorations.

TPO:
(Technical name: thermoplastic polyolefin). This synthetic material is made by polypropylene, which is a chemical compound used as an elastomer and has good resistance to deformation, plus ethylene-propylene rubber.
Manufactured in sheets, TPO is rolled across your prepped roof deck, mechanically fastened to ISO board and welded at the seams using heat guns.

TPO roofing is a strong, durable and cost-efficient system that will last many years and can be installed on most roofing substrates.

TPO is also a highly energy-efficient roofing product, with a reflective surface to reflect solar heat away from the roofing surface, helping to eliminate heat buildup within the building, while also helping to reduce both your utility and HVAC costs.

PVC: Or to be precise, polyvinyl chloride, has been in commercial and industrial roofing use since the 1960s, with a long track record of providing effective waterproofing protection.

Made of synthetic plastic, PVC uses less oil and petroleum products than either TPO or EPDM. This chemical is very pliable, allowing movement in relation to thermal changes on your roof surface.

PVC is a sturdy material, with high levels of protection against chemicals, environmental contaminants, water leaks and UV rays. It has cool-reflective properties that protect it from damage and discoloration by solar radiation and is both Energy Star and Cool Roof rated.
